How can I learn about effective crime prevention programs?
Created by the Office of Justice Programs and operated by OJP's National Institute of Justice, the CrimeSolutions website uses rigorous research to inform practitioners and policy makers about what works in criminal justice, juvenile justice, and crime victim services. Visit the Crime and Crime Prevention section of the site to view research on programs reviewed and rated by CrimeSolutions Researchers and Reviewers. Also visit the Related Links section of the CrimeSolutions site for information on other government and private organizations that maintain databases similar to CrimeSolutions'.

For information specific to programs aimed at preventing juvenile crime and delinquency, visit the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention's Model Programs Guide (MPG). MPG is designed to assist practitioners and communities in implementing evidence-based prevention and intervention programs that can make a difference in the lives of children and communities. The MPG is an easy-to-use tool that offers a database of over 300 scientifically-proven programs that address a range of issues, including substance abuse, mental health, and education programs.

Finally, visit the Crime Prevention section of the Office of Justice Programs site for additional publications and resources.
