An overview of powdered cocaine addresses its chemical properties, how the drug travels to the brain, use of adulterants, and negative effects of sniffing and injecting the drug. Emphasizing that crack is substantially cheaper than cocaine powder and thus has a much wider market, the video shows how powdered cocaine is easily processed into crack and how it can be smoked or free-based. Paraphernalia needed to manufacture crack are identified: powdered cocaine, baking soda, water, tongs, ice, and a heat source. Law enforcement officers are cautioned to look out for razor blades used to divide crack rocks and alerted to types of packaging from small plastic bags to folded bottle caps.
