Abstract
The journal citations focus on alcohol and drug abuse education and prevention, with attention paid to rural youth drug education, crack cocaine education in public schools, factors associated with student drug use, and whether peers or parents have the most influence on student marijuana use. The journal entries also cover the diagnostic assessment and placement of students in prevention and treatment programs, drug testing in public schools, the efficacy of peer leaders in drug abuse prevention, and mass media linkages with school-based drug programs.
