This report, based primarily on data supplied to the Arizona Uniform Crime Reporting Program by State and local law enforcement agencies, examines trends in first- and second-degree murder and manslaughter in Arizona.
Abstract

The report's analyses are categorized as the trend in criminal homicide, the pattern of criminal homicide, and the victims of criminal homicide in the State. To examine contrasts existing between urban, suburban, and rural populations within Arizona, law enforcement agencies recording criminal homicides during the reporting period are classified by these categories. The report compares criminal homicide in Arizona with such crimes in other States and compares criminal homicide by population types within the State. 23 figures, 3 tables, 1 appendix.
