Topics covered include investigation planning and preparation, the investigation format, the management of victim's parents, and stress management for investigators. Appendixes contain a sample interagency agreement, a sample hospital protocol, guidelines for developmental interviewing of the child victim, parent interviews, and a checklist for evidence of child sexual exploitation. Volume II details specific procedures for initiating a coordinated, multidisciplinary investigation, using the model guidelines.
