This annual report of the National Center for Juvenile Justice, the research division of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, describes the Center's activities for the year ending in July 1992.
Abstract
In pursuing its twin goals of providing quality research in the juvenile justice field and enhancing the way in which youth are handled judicially on a nationwide basis, the Center maintains an automated juvenile law archive, publishes an index to the legal periodical literature on children, and participates in a Key Issues Curriculum Enhancement project. Other Center activities covered in this report include work related the Orleans Parish juvenile court, juvenile and family court facility design guidelines, National Juvenile Court Data Archive Project, juvenile probation officers' initiative, substance abuse screening programs, and analysis of juvenile drug policy recommendations. The Center was also involved in juvenile justice projects in Cook County (IL), Allegheny County (PA), Wayne County (MI), and Cuyahoga County (OH).
