This directory is a compilation of national antidrug commissions, councils, committees, and boards and governmental institutions that are charged with coordinating the programs and activities of the member states of the Organization of American States in the struggle against the illicit production, trafficking, use, and abuse of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
Abstract
The report on each national organization or agency contains the name of the organization; its executive officers; its organizational structure; its functions; its address; and the telephone, fax, and telex numbers. The directory indicates whether the country has a national antidrug plan or strategy. The information in the directory is based on direct research conducted with the collaboration of the Permanent Missions to the Organization and of the Organization of American States national offices located in each country. The information is updated to October 1993.
