The project focuses on the quality of CCTV pictures, common image defects (image size, out-of-focus images, motion-blurred images, target contrast and color, videotape recordings, switchers, mixers, and multiplexers). The project is designed to ensure that CCTV security systems meet the identified need. Defined in terms of an operational requirement (OR) table, need is based on customer expectations. The OR table, produced by the customer in consultation with security analysts, is intended to segment the problem or need according to each physical area. It has four main sections that analyze the activity to be observed, the security response to the activity, observer interfaces with the security system, and risks and priorities.
