Abstract
A table of penalties lists each offense classification, accompanied by any penalties in the areas of confinement, maximum fine, and organizational fine. Ohio law allows persons confined to State correctional institutions to earn sentence reductions for good behavior. A table presents these reductions possible for each category of minimum or definite sentence. An index of offenses is provided, along with an outline of elements of offenses. The handbook provides the full text of Title 29 of Ohio's Criminal Code, as amended through February 20, 1995. It defines various criminal offenses and specifies criminal procedure. The full text of the U.S. Constitution is included, along with selected provisions of the Ohio Constitution. Miscellaneous statutory provisions are also presented. A section of rules of procedure encompasses rules of criminal procedure, rules of evidence, rules of juvenile procedure, and traffic rules. Remaining sections provide a time table in criminal cases, rules of court of claims, and regulations for a death penalty indigent defense. A general subject index is provided.
