The handbook outlines how the NIC Academy develops a training seminar. Components in this process and covered by the handbook include planning (rationale, goals, and objectives), task analysis, lesson plans, lesson plan manual and facilitator's guide, participant manual, training seminar presentation, seminar evaluation, and closeout report. Where appropriate, examples from the NIC Academy's "Training for Trainers" seminar are used as a model. Applying the principles described in the handbook should increase the probability that participants will remember and understand the information and skills provided by well-prepared trainers. 1 figure
