This 1995 Annual Report of the King County Police Department (Washington State) presents crime and offense statistics as well as information on arrestees, including juvenile arrestees, and other information on the work of the department.
Abstract
From January 1, 1995, through December 31, 1995, a total of 31,814 Part I offenses were reported to the police, a 7-percent increase from the previous year; and 25,976 Part II offenses were reported, a 3.2-percent decrease from the previous year. A total of 6,767 Part I offenses were cleared, and 10,799 Part II offenses were cleared. An activity summary shows the number of calls for service received, dispatched calls for service, adult arrests, juvenile arrests, traffic enforcement, officers assaulted, gang-related incidents, domestic violence incidents, and hate crimes/malicious harassment. Offense statistics are presented by precinct, and larcenies are shown by patrol districts. Data are provided on the age, gender, and race of adults arrested and booked. Contract cities are profiled, and each of the community policing storefronts is profiled. Information is also provided on special operations, the Criminal Investigation Division, traffic enforcement, traffic accident investigation, communications, community-oriented activity, and the activity of specialized units.
