Twelve tables that constitute an annex to the statistical bulletin present each police force's 1995 statistics on drug addicts notified to the British Home Office.
Abstract
Two tables present the total number and number per million of new drug addicts notified to the Home Office for each of the years 1985-95. Another table presents the number of renotified drug addicts and all drug addicts notified to the Home Office for each of the years 1990-95 by police force area of addict. The number of renotified drug addicts and all drug addicts notified to the Home Office per million population for each year of 1990- 95 by police force area of addict are presented in a fourth table. The fifth table reports the number of new drug addicts notified to the Home Office as addicted to heroin during each year (1985-95) by police force area of addict. A sixth table presents the number of drug addicts renotified to the Home Office as addicted to heroin during the year by police force area of addict for 1989-95; and the seventh table presents the number of new drug addicts notified to the Home Office during each year (1991-95) by Regional Health Authority of notifier. Table eight reports the number of renotified drug addicts and all drug addicts notified to the Home Office during the year by Regional Health Authority of notifier for 1991-95. Remaining tables address only 1995 by Regional Health Authority. They present the numbers of notifications by age and sex, by source of first notification, by country, and by latest injecting status.
