This "National Directory" lists law enforcement department profiles and professionals with contact information, so as to make it easy to mail, phone, or fax nearly any law enforcement agency in the United States or Canada.
Abstract
The directory has 19 principal sections. Each section includes department profiles for a particular type of agency (municipal, county, State, corrections, Federal, etc.). A complete law enforcement department profile includes the following information, administrator's name, title, department name, mailing address, county, administrative phone number, fax number, population of service area, number of sworn officers, civil process phone number, and civil process fee. This edition includes two new sections of information; a section on directory statistics presents information such as the number of sworn officers in the United States and the number of departments that changed their phone number. Another section lists law enforcement related trade shows and conventions. Sections list directory information by State for municipal law enforcement, county law enforcement, coroners and medical examiners (county and precinct), prosecutors (county and district), campus law enforcement, law enforcement training, Bureau of Indian Affairs and Tribal Law Enforcement, airports and harbor police, State police and highway patrols, State criminal investigation units, State correctional agencies, general State agencies, and conservation law enforcement. Other sections provide information on Federal agencies (United States), military agencies (United States), law enforcement and related associations, railroad law enforcement, Canadian law enforcement, and international agencies. The latter are listed by country. Subject index
