Abstract
The chapter on property crime aims to teach the student to define property crime, explain property crime's impact on victims, understand the importance to victims of holding offenders accountable for their actions, identify the impact of property crime on elderly victims, and apply knowledge of insurance to property losses. It also contains exercises in which participants put themselves in the place of a property victim and remember their feelings when something important to them was stolen. Other chapters deal with drug abuse and drug law offenses, violence crime, domestic assault, crimes against the elderly, child abuse and neglect, sexual assault, assault, robbery, death and injury resulting from drunk driving, and homicide.
