Information on case processing is presented under civil cases, adoption cases, probate cases, mental health cases, criminal cases, juvenile cases, and criminal post-conviction relief proceedings. Data on the number of civil cases filed in 1995 addresses tort cases (auto tort, product liability, medical and other professional malpractice, and miscellaneous tort); contract cases; real-property-rights cases; domestic relations cases; and miscellaneous civil cases. Data also address the number of cases appealed from county courts, justice of the peace courts, municipal courts, and administrative agencies. Other data on civil cases address the total number of civil cases processed in 1995, civil cases disposed in 1995 under various types of dispositions, and the civil cases pending on December 31, 1995. Data for other case categories address the number of cases pending, the number of cases filed, and cases disposed in 1995. Data on appeals are also provided for each of the case categories.
