Abstract
The number of cases filed, disposed, and pending are presented for the following appellate courts: Supreme Court, Superior Court, and Commonwealth Court. Caseload information on common pleas courts encompass criminal and civil cases, as well as cases in family court and orphans' court. State and county-by- county data on jury use are also included for common pleas courts. Caseload statistics for criminal and civil cases heard in common pleas courts are presented as State totals and county by county. Statistics for family court and orphans' court are presented as State totals and by case type. Statistics for limited jurisdiction courts encompass district courts, the Philadelphia Municipal Court, the Philadelphia Traffic Court, and the Pittsburgh Magistrates Court. Caseload data for the district courts are broken down by criminal filings and dispositions, private criminal complaint filings and dispositions, traffic filings and dispositions, non-traffic filings and dispositions, civil action filings and dispositions, landlord/tenant filings and dispositions, civil action orders of execution, and landlord/tenant orders of execution and possession.
