This guide presents key principles, resources, and programs to assist individuals involved in administering drug demand reduction programs.
Abstract
The first section of the guide focuses on drug prevention and principles of effective collaboration. The next three sections list Department of Defense, Federal, and national organization resources that can be used in drug demand reduction programs. The fifth section describes State National Guard programs related to drug demand reduction. The sixth section covers Operation Weed and Seed, a multiagency strategy designed to weed out violent crime, gang activity, drug use, and drug trafficking. The seventh section discusses the Wrice process, the focus of which is to educate and involve the community in curbing the drug trade at the street level. The final section contains a listing of street drug terms. References
