Abstract
The volume provides an overview of Federal initiatives and the Federal Crime Victim and Witness Assistance Program. It includes information on criminal case processing, provisions of the Victim and Witness Protection Act of 1982, the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) of 1984, the Victims Rights and Restitution Act of 1990, the Victims of Child Abuse Act of 1990, and Attorney General Guidelines for Victim and Witness Assistance. The volume also incorporates materials on the Department of Justice's Office for Victims of Crime, U.S. Attorney and Federal Bureau of Prisons victim-witness assistance programs, Federal law enforcement agency responsibilities, the Crime Victims Fund, and State contacts for VOCA programs.
