Abstract
The 1997 supplement explains new laws and court cases since the second edition of Arrest, Search and Investigation was published in 1993. The book and supplement cover such topics as the Fourth Amendment, which protects a person's right to privacy; rules of evidence; wiretapping; mail inspection; obtaining blood samples; driver's license checks; undercover officers; informants; and the Miranda rule.
