Abstract
Individual sections explain the committees and organization of the courts, the operating budget, case revenue, receipts and disbursements, the mission statement, strategic planning goals, and involvement in the District of Columbia community. Additional sections describe and present statistics on the activities of the Court of Appeals and the Superior Court, including criminal, civil, family, probate, and dispute resolution activity. The statistics cover filings, case dispositions, pending caseloads, felony indictments, misdemeanors, trends in civil trials, small claims activity, juvenile court referrals, referrals for child abuse and neglect, mental health action, child support caseloads, domestic assault activity, tax activity, and juror panel use.
