This directory describes the many Federal services, programs, publications, and training sessions that address child sexual exploitation issues, child pornography, child abduction, Internet crime, and missing children cases.
Abstract
This directory was prepared by the Federal Agency Task Force for Missing and Exploited Children. It is the Task Force's initial effort to coordinate the delivery of Federal services to missing and exploited children and their families. The information in the directory will help to expand the resources that are available, enhance and increase the coordination of services for missing and exploited children and their families, and promote positive system change. A directory section entitled, "Where To Get Help," categorizes the types of assistance offered by each Federal agency. The agencies are listed under the services provided, including training, technical assistance, legal assistance, publications, research and evaluation, Federal prosecutors, State and local prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, Native American tribes, and services for missing and exploited youth and their families. More detailed descriptions of Federal agencies and other organizations that provide resources and services for missing and exploited children and their families are presented. These agency and organization profiles include a description of the agency and its services, along with the availability of services, publications, and contact information. Eleven appendixes provide supplementary information on various agencies, organizations, and services.
