Abstract
The Practice Book details the Attorney's Oath, Rules of Professional Conduct, and Superior Court Rules and Rules of Appellate Procedure for the State of Connecticut. The Superior Court Rules include general provisions, and procedure in civil, family, juvenile, and criminal matters. The Rules of Appellate Procedure include general provisions, transfer of cases, writs of error, appeals in juvenile matters, and sanctions. A change in the official Practice Book from the 1978 version is the organization of rules. Provisions of the Superior Court Rules generally applied to civil, family, juvenile, and criminal proceedings were moved to the beginning of the book. The rules were renumbered using a chapter-based numbering system that allows for future expansion. Rules of Appellate Procedure were reorganized and renumbered. References tables indicating the correlation between old and new numbers are located at the end of the book. The section number from the 1978-1997 Practice Book, if any, corresponding to each current section number is also noted in parentheses following the text of the rule, as are the dates of any rules adopted and any amendments made since 1998. 4 tables, index, appendix
