This issue features two articles regarding an overview of human sex trafficking and a legal discussion on the fourth amendment.
Abstract
This issue includes two primary articles: 1) Human Sex Trafficking which explains the scope and operations of human sex trafficking and tips for facilitating Federal and local investigations; and 2) The Emergency Aid Exception to the Fourth Amendment's Warrant Requirement which addresses the exigent circumstance that give rise to the authority and limitations on how far the officer can proceed without securing a warrant, incorporating the Supreme Court treatment of this issue. Other departmental articles include: the two roles of supervision in performance counseling in developing the eight principles of law enforcement leadership; principles of effective law enforcement leadership; leadership etiquette and common sense for growing effective leadership; police practice of key elements for decreasing urban crime; a bulletin on the Essex County Police Academy Law Enforcement Officer Memorial in Cedar Grove, NJ; and a report on increasing emergency vehicle visibility.
