Information and data are provided for Arizona's Controlled Substances Prescription Monitoring Program (CSPMP).

Abstract

The CSPMP is administered by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy (Pharmacy Board). Access is provided to the CSPMP website. Contact information is provided for the PMP Director and the PMP Manager. PMP statistics for 2016 cover the state population and the number of DEA registered prescribers and DEA registered dispensers. Technological capabilities reported indicate the ASAP versions accepted and the data transmission methods allowed, as well as a listing of required data transmitters. Vendors that provide data collection, storage, generation, and access are noted, along with a list of states involved in data PMP data sharing. Data access means and patient matching are indicated. A description of policies and procedures includes the controllred substances schedules monitored, along with other substances monitored. Dates are indicated for when PMDP legislation was enacted and when the PMDP became operational. Access information is provided for statutes and rules relevant to the PMDP. Select data fields available and miscellaneous capabilities and policies are reported. PMDP enrollment is required for prescribers and dispensers, along with patient query. PDMP requestor training is provided for prescribers, dispensers, law enforcement personnel, and the regulatory board. PDMP available reports are listed, and reports authorized for production are listed.
