THE COMANCHE COUNTY MISDEMEANANT JAIL TREATMENT PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE IMPROVED ENVIRONMENTAL JAIL CONDITIONS FOR THE INCARCERATED AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO INMATES, PRE-TRIAL DETAINEES, AND THEIR FAMILIES.
Abstract
THIS REPORT DISCUSSES THE HISTORY, OBJECTIVES, ADMINISTRATION, AND SERVICES ADDED AFTER PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION. AN EVALUATION OF PROGRAM IMPACT IN A NUMBER OF AREAS IS ALSO INCLUDED. THE TRANSCRIBED OPINIONS, EXPERIENCES, AND PROGRAM PROJECTIONS OF FOUR OF THE PROGRAM'S SUPPORTERS - A FIFTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT JUDGE, THE FORMER TECHNICAL PROJECT DIRECTOR, THE PRESENT TECHNICAL PROJECT DIRECTOR, AND CHIEF DISTRICT JUDGE OF THE FIFTH COURT - COMPRISE THE SECOND HALF OF THIS REPORT. THE OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES (JAIL RULES) FOR THE COMANCHE COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY ARE REPRODUCED IN THE APPENDIX.
