THE AUTHORS THEN EXAMINE EVIDENCE COLLECTION TECHNIQUES AT THE CRIME SCENE, EVIDENCE AND THE MOBILE, CRIME LABORATORY, AND SPECIAL TECHNIQUES IN THE 'FIXED' OR BASE LABORATORY. THE SPECIFIC TECHNIQUES DISCUSSED INCLUDE FORENSIC PHOTOGRAPHY TECHNIQUES, BLOOD AND BODY FLUID ANALYSIS, CASTS AND MOLDS, FINGERPRINTS, DOCUMENT EXAMINATIONS, NARCOTICS, GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY, AND MASS SPECTROMETER TECHNIQUES. REPORT WRITING METHODS AND THE USE OF THE CRIMINALIST AS AN EXPERT WITNESS ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. THE TEXT INCLUDES SEVERAL DIAGRAMS, CHARTS, AND PHOTOGRAPHS OF ACTUAL CRIME SCENES.
