Abstract
UNDER THE LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ACT OF 1965, THE GRANTS HAVE BEEN AWARDED IN LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION, IN LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATIONS IMPROVEMENT, CORRECTIONS TRAINING AND OPERATIONS, AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE. SPECIAL GRANTS PROGRAMS ASSIST IN STANDARDS AND TRAINING, COLLEGE AND DEGREE PROGRAMS, COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND PLANNING. IN THE APPENDICES ARE THE TEXT OF THE ACT AND A LIST OF GRANTS AND CONTRACTS AWARDED WITH THE AMOUNT, DESCRIPTIONS OF THE PROJECTS, AND CROSS REFERENCES BY GRANT NUMBER, GRANT CATEGORY, AND LOCATIONS.
