Abstract
THE BASIS OF THIS PROGRAM IS A SERIES OF STOREFRONT/ SERVICE AND INFORMATION CENTERS PERMANENTLY LOCATED IN HIGH CRIME RATE AREAS OR AREAS WHERE SERIOUS PROBLEMS OF DISTRUST EXIST. THIS FACTUAL REPORT IS SUBSTANTIATED BY STATISTICS MAINTAINED THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT FROM THE INCEPTION OF THE COMMUNITY RELATIONS DIVISION, FEBRUARY 12, 1968 THROUGH JANUARY 1972. YOUTH ACTIVITIES, POLICE/ CITIZEN INCIDENTS, COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES, AND PUBLIC RELATIONS ACTIVITIES ARE DISCUSSED INDIVIDUALLY. CONTINUING PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES ARE BRIEFLY SUMMARIZED, AS ARE FUTURE PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRAM FINANCES.
