THIS ARTICLE PRESENTS THE DESIGN OF A UNIQUE AUTOMATED COURT MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM, AND DESCRIBES HOW IT CAN BE USED TO IMPROVE THE MANAGEMENT OF THE COURT'S SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAMS.
Abstract
THE SYSTEM DESCRIBED IN THIS ARTICLE IS THE COMPUTERIZED MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM OF THE SOCIAL SERVICES DIVISION OF THE D.C. SUPERIOR COURT. THE SYSTEM IS CALLED THE PROBATION OFFICER ACTIVITY REPORTING SYSTEM, AND IS AIMED AT PRODUCING INFORMATION THAT WILL AID BOTH THE DIVISION'S PROBATION OFFICERS AND ITS SUPERVISORS AND EXECUTIVE STAFF IN BETTER MANAGEMENT OF THE COURT'S SERVICES PROGRAMS.
