THIS REPORT PROVIDES A GUIDE TO STATE JUDICIAL INFORMATION SYSTEM (SJIS) DEVELOPMENT, IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION AND PRESENTS A MODEL SJIS INCLUDING NON-TECHNICAL DISCUSSIONS OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE.
Abstract
THE FIRST PART PROVIDES AN INTRODUCTION TO THE SJIS PROJECT, A NON-TECHNICAL GUIDE TO SJIS DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION, AND A MODEL EVALUATION DESIGN FOR ASSESSING PROJECT MANAGEMENT, PROJECT ACTIVITIES, AND THE RESULTING SJIS. PART TWO PRESENTS THE INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS AND THE FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM DESIGN DEVELOPED BY THE SJIS PROJECT COMMITTEE, AND DISCUSSES TYPICAL CONSTRAINTS ON AN SJIS. THE APPENDIXES INCLUDE THE SJIS MODEL OUTPUT REPORT FORMATS WITH DESCRIPTIONS; SJIS MODEL DATA ELEMENTS WITH USAGE CONVENTIONS; SJIS GLOSSARY FOR JUDICIAL AND SYSTEMS PERSONNEL; SJIS PARTICIPATING STATES PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS; AND A BIBLIOGRAPHY.
