Abstract
INCIDENTS INVOLVING CONFIDENCE GAMES AND THEFT ARE USED TO ILLUSTRATE HOW ELDERLY PERSONS ARE VICTIMIZED. THE AUTHOR CONCLUDES THAT EDUCATION OF SENIOR CITIZENS THROUGH COMMUNITY RELATIONS/CRIME PREVENTION SECTIONS OF POLICE DEPARTMENTS IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.
