STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS OF FOLLOW-UP STUDIES ON 1163 MALES WHO WERE SENTENCED WITH EDUCATIONAL OR CORRECTIONAL MEASURES BY THE POLISH COURTS IN 1966 WHILE THEY WERE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 13 AND 17.
Abstract
FOLLOW-UP RESEARCH CARRIED OUT IN 1970 EVALUATED THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THREE LEVELS OF SANCTION (PROBATION, DETENTION, AND MEASURES WITHOUT DETENTION OR PROBATION), IN TERMS OF RECIDIVISM BY THE OFFENDERS. RECIDIVISM IN THE FIRST GROUP WAS 10 PERCENT, IN THE SECOND GROUP 37 PERCENT, AND IN THE THIRD GROUP 53 PERCENT. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE FOR THE APPLICATION OF EACH TYPE OF SANCTION. --IN POLISH.
