Abstract
THIS ARTICLE IS AN ABSTRACT OF A STUDY DEALING WITH THE PROBLEMS INHERENT IN GROUP TREATMENT OF PRISONERS DUE TO THE CONFINING NATURE OF THE PRISON. THE PRISON'S NATURE MAY HAVE AN ADVERSE EFFECT ON THE RESULTS OBTAINED. THE STUDY'S AUTHOR, IN EXAMINING PRISONER ATTITUDES, SURVEYED BLACK PRISONERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 20 AND 30 AT GRATERFORD STATE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION IN PA.
