THIS ARTICLE ARGUES THAT IT IS UNCONSCIONABLE TO FORCE THE INNOCENT TO BEAR THE OFTEN CRUSHING COSTS OF MISTAKES IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, AND THAT A RIGHT TO COMPENSATION FOR ERRONEOUS PROSECUTION BE CREATED.
Abstract
