THE ARTICLES IN PART I DISCUSS THE ROLE OF A PRIVATE CORRECTIONAL SERVICE AGENCY; DESCRIBE THE JOHN HOWARD SOCIETY OF CANADA, A NONGOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION OF CITIZENS DEVOTED TO PREVENTING AND CONTROLLING CRIME, TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM, AND TO PROVIDING SERVICES TO OFFENDERS; ADDRESS ADMINISTRATORS AND STAFF MEMBERS OF CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS INTERESTED IN INITIATING A COMMUNITY SPONSOR PROGRAM, DESCRIBING ITS GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF REHABILITATION OFFERING SOME GUIDELINES FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM.
