THE BIBLIOGRAPHY IS DESIGNED AS AN INTRODUCTION TO SCIENTIFIC AND POPULAR DRUG ABUSE LITERATURE AND IS INTENDED FOR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS, TEACHERS, LAWYERS, CLERGY, SUPPORTIVE PROFESSIONALS, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS. THE SELECTION CRITERIA WAS 1969 OR 1970 BOOKS BY AUTHORITATIVE AUTHORS, CURRENT RESEARCH ARTICLES REFLECTING RESPONSIBLE CONCLUSIONS, ITEMS CITED IN TWO OR MORE SIGNIFICANT BIBLIOGRAPHIES, CLASSICAL BOOKS, ARTICLES OR STUDIES, AND FACTUAL LITERATURE IN POPULAR PERIODICALS.
