Abstract
THE COMMISSION REPRESENTS 25 DENOMINATIONS BELONGING TO THE OHIO COUNCIL OF CHURCHES PLUS A NUMBER OF OTHER JUSTICE-ORIENTED STATEWIDE ORGANIZATIONS. AS PART OF THEIR WORK, THE MEMBERS TOOK A NUMBER OF TOURS OF OHIO CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES. THESE TOURS ARE REPORTED IN THE MINUTES. DATA ARE GIVEN ON EACH INSTITUTION'S HISTORY, PROGRAMS, LIBRARY FACILITIES, INMATE FACILITIES, VISITING HOURS, INMATE POPULATIONS, NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES, AND PROBLEMS. QUESTIONS ASKED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS AND THE ANSWERS ARE BRIEFLY SUMMARIZED. MANY OF THE TOUR REPORTS CONTAIN PHOTOS.
