THE BUREAU FOR VITAL STATISTICS PRESENTS STATISTICAL DATA FOR 1974-1975 ON THE JUDICIARY IN THE NETHERLANDS.
Abstract
AN OVERVIEW IS GIVEN OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE JUDICIARY IN CIVIL AND CRIMINAL CASES, AS WELL AS IN CASES INVOLVING ADMINISTRATIVE LAW. CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES ARE DIVIDED INTO CASES BROUGHT BEFORE THE HIGH COURT, THE COURTS OF APPEALS, THE DISTRICT COURTS, AND THE MILITARY COURTS. DATA ARE ALSO PROVIDED ON CASES IN WHICH A PARDON WAS REQUESTED. A SIMILAR DIVISION ON STATISTICAL DATA APPLIES FOR CIVIL CASES. ADMINISTRATIVE CASES ARE DIVIDED ACCORDING TO CASES BROUGHT BEFORE THE DIFFERENT BODIES THAT DEAL WITH VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE LAWS. THEY INVOLVE PENSION LAWS, SOCIAL INSURANCE LAWS, CIVIL SERVICE LAWS, TAX LAWS, CORPORATE LAWS, AND GOVERNMENTAL MANAGEMENT LAWS. SEPARATE FIGURES ARE GIVEN ON EXTRADITION CASES. AN OVERVIEW IS ALSO PROVIDED OF THE NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES WORKING IN THE DIFFERENT BRANCHES OF THE JUDICIARY. A GRAPH CHARTS CRIMES KNOWN TO THE POLICE, CRIMES SOLVED BY THE POLICE, AND CRIMINAL OFFENSES COMPLETELY DEALT WITH IN THE COURTS.
