A COLLECTION OF ESSAYS ANALYZING THE MOTIVES OF WEST GERMAN FEMALE TERRORISTS IS PRESENTED.
Abstract
THE FEMALE AUTHORS ATTEMPT TO CAST NEW LIGHT ON THE ACTIVITIES OF WOMEN TERRORISTS BY INTERPRETING THEM FROM A WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE, WHILE CORRECTING SEXIST INTERPRETATIONS OF POLITICAL PARTIES AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. THESE ACTIVITIES ARE PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT BECAUSE THE REJECTION OF TERRORISM HAS, AS A RESULT OF THE LARGE NUMBER OF FEMALE TERRORISTS AND THE MISINTERPRETATIONS OF THEIR ACTIVITIES, BECOME AN ATTACK ON WOMEN'S EMANCIPATION AND A REJECTION OF DYNAMIC WOMEN. CONTRIBUTIONS TREAT ISSUES SUCH AS THE ROOTS OF TERRORISM IN THE WOMAN'S TRADITIONAL ROLE AS MARTYR, CONNECTIONS BETWEEN FEMALE INVOLVEMENT IN THE TERRORIST MOVEMENT AND FEMALE SOCIALIZATION, THE EFFECTS OF THE PROTESTANT ETHIC AND CLASS-SPECIFIC BACKGROUNDS ON FEMALE TERRORISTS, VIEWS OF SCHOOL GIRLS ON TERRORISM, TERRORISM IN WOMEN AS AN EXPRESSION OF ISOLATION AND A DENIAL OF INDIVIDUAL INTERESTS, TERRORIST ACTIVITIES AS WOMEN SEARCH FOR IDENTITY AND NEW SOCIAL ROLES, ITALIAN WOMEN TERRORISTS, AND THE VIOLENCE OF FEMALE TERRORISTS AS A REACTION TO REPRESSIVE FORCES EXERTED DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY BY THE STATE AGAINST WOMEN. SEPARATE NOTES ARE FURNISHED FOR EACH ESSAY. - IN GERMAN (KMD)
