THREE THESES ON GERMAN FEMALE TERRORIST BEHAVIOR FOCUS ON SOCIAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENTS, THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CAUSES FOR FEMALE TERRORISM, AND THE PROCESS OF FEMALE EMANCIPATION.
Abstract
THE THESES ATTEMPT TO COUNTERACT THE DEARTH OF INFORMATION ON FEMALE TERRORISTS, AND FILL THE VOID CREATED BY WOMEN'S GROUPS AND TERRORISM EXPERTS WHO AVOID THE SUBJECTS OF FEMALE TERRORISTS AS A REACTION TO THE POLITICALLY-HEATED ATMOSPHERE IN WHICH EVERY CRITICAL WORD AROUSES SUSPICION OF SYMPATHY WITH TERRORISM. A FIRST THESIS IS THAT TERRORISTS WITHDRAW ENTIRELY FROM PRODUCTIVE SOCIETY; THEIR ENDEAVORS NEITHER PERMIT THEM TO DEVELOP MEANINGFUL SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS NOR ALLOW THEM TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT. HENCE, IF COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS ARE LACKING OUTSIDE THE INDIVIDUAL SPHERE ON THE SOCIAL WORK LEVEL, POSITIVE EXPERIENCES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH RELATION TO THEMSELVES AND OTHERS ARE DECISIVELY PREVENTED. IF LIVING WITH OTHER PEOPLE HAS NO MEANING, TERRORISTS MAY STRIKE OUT AT HUMAN BEINGS WHOSE FLESH-AND-BLOOD EXISTENCE THEY DO NOT RECOGNIZE. SECONDLY, THE BEHAVIOR OF WOMEN TERRORISTS MUST BE DISCERNED AS THE MOST RADICAL FORM OF REJECTING PERSONAL INTERESTS, AND THEREFORE AS A TOTAL LACK OF EMANCIPATION. LIVING IN CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH REQUIRE A RADICAL DENIAL OF THEIR ECONOMIC, CULTURAL, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS, FEMALE TERRORISTS REACT IN DEPRESSION AND SELF-DIRECTED AGGRESSION TO THE POINT OF SELF-DESTRUCTION, DISPLAYING A NEGATIVE SELF-IMAGE OF THE UNEMANCIPATED WOMAN. THIRDLY, POLITICAL TERRORISM IS THE INADEQUATE SOLUTION OF FEMALE TERRORISTS TO THE PROCESS OF SOCIAL STATUS REDUCTION EXPERIENCED BY WOMEN INTELLECTUALS AS THEY LEFT THEIR UNDERPRIVILEGED STATE IN THE SIXTIES.
