Abstract
THE RESEARCH ISSUES SERIES COLLECTS THEORETICAL AND RESEARCH LITERATURE DEALING WITH THE SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL IMPLICATIONS OF MAN'S INVOLVEMENT WITH DRUGS. WITH EACH VOLUME FOCUSING ON A TOPIC OF CURRENT INTEREST, THE SERIES PROVIDES A REFERENCE OF ORIGINAL RESEARCH AND RESEARCH TOOLS AND OF ABSTRACTS OF STUDIES AND THEORETICAL EXPOSITIONS. THESE UPDATES TO PREVIOUS TOPICS COVER RESEARCH ON FAMILY AND PEER INFLUENCE (PREDICTION OF DRUG USE, FAMILY DYNAMICS OF HEROIN USERS, PATTERNS OF ADOLESCENT DRUG USE); ATTITUDE CHANGE (USERS' AND NONUSERS' ATTITUDES TOWARDS DRUGS, SOURCES OF INFORMATION, THE ROLE OF THE MEDIA); PERSONALITY (CORRELATES AND PREDICTORS OF DRUG USE, LOCUS OF CONTROL, AND USERS' TRAITS); AND PSYCHOPATHOLOGY (BEHAVIOR DISORDERS AND DRUG USE, SOCIOPATHY, POLYDRUG USE).
