It is based on a search of the National Technical Information Service data base from 1977 through May 1980. Reports are cited on vandalism, shoplifting, nuclear materials theft, pilferage, assault, rape, murder, stolen goods fencing, book theft, and larceny. Law enforcement studies not concerned directly with crime prevention are excluded, as are materials on juvenile delinquency, crime prevention through community action, and prevention through weapons detection and intrusion detection. For each document, the source, subject categories, index terms, and identifying terms are presented. Other information provided includes the report date, corporate author, sponsoring agency, number of pages, and ordering information. No index is provided.
