Reality therapy and mutual agreement programming are the primary treatment modes among MHHI programs. The introductory sections present highlights of MHHI services since 1968, an overview of revenues and expenditures for the first 15 years of operations, a review of MHHI's proposals and contracts, and a description of MHHI's operations over the past 15 years. A sample MHHI programming contract to be signed by a resident is also included. In addition to the residential programs operated by MHHI, other services are offered, such as institutes, workshops, training advice, conferences, newsletters, and technical assistance. The MHHI programs described include Brooke House, the oldest halfway house for ex-offenders in New England; the Federal Credit Union, the first federally chartered credit union for ex-offenders; the Temporary Housing Program, a residential program for male pre- or postrelease or court diversion clients; and the Boston Offender Services Project, a nonresidential program. Other MHHI community-based programs serve juvenile and female offenders. Also included is a 1980 annual report of the Juvenile Justice Management Training Program, which is a community-based training program for juvenile justice personnel. Fiscal restraints on services and staff are reported, and client progress reports are included. Tabular and statistical data, organizational charts, and graphs are included.
