Wisconsin experienced 9 robberies, 12 aggravated assaults, 31 motor vehicle thefts, and 5 cases of arson daily in 1980.
Abstract
A total of 138 burglaries occurred each day, along with 421 thefts and 2 forcible rapes. One murder occurred every 3 days. Graphs, diagrams, and tables show crime Index offenses; violent crimes; crime Index and violent crime rates; and data on specific offenses (murder, robbery, aggravated assault) with type of weapon used. Tables give data on robbery, burglary, theft, arson, property stolen and recovered, offenses known by counties, arrests, and other information. A map and glossary are included.
