Abstract
To reduce crime and protect against physical harm, individuals must be watchful in their neighborhoods. The handbook illustrates and explains specific security hardware for the home. Vacationers should follow two sets of precautions: one for leaving the home and another for behavior in hotels. Senior citizens are frequently victims of con artists; techniques are explained for detecting and avoiding these situtions. Children can learn to turn away the advances of strangers. There are numerous auto theft prevention techniques, foremost among them vehicular identification. The handbook recommends detailed methods for decreasing business theft and robbery.
