Tips for parents include the necessity for updating children's photographs and keeping a child's personal identification folder. A form for personal fingerprint identification provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation is included. A coloring book of instructions for the Child advises the child to avoid strangers, to walk and play with friends, and to avoid empty buildings or alleys. A checklist for maintaining home safety includes such advice as locking doors and windows, not informing strangers when leaving on vacation, and not leaving a key for children in obvious hiding places. A list of resources to assist parents of a missing child is provided. A babysitters' pamplet from the Crime Prevention Coalition provides safety precautions such as not opening the door to strangers and calling the police if anything suspicious occurs.
