This manual contains the texts of parts of several Texas laws relating to drugs and drunk driving and presents casenotes on Texas appellate court decisions under those statutes.
Abstract
Sections of the Controlled Substances Act, the Dangerous Drug Act, and driving while intoxicated statutes as amended through the State legislature's regular session are included. New laws on simulated controlled substances and volatile chemicals are also cited. The case notes cover the published opinions of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and the 14 Courts of Appeals of decisions under those laws from 500 S.W.2d through 667 S.W.2d. General topics covered include informants, chain of custody, laboratory reports, accomplice witnesses, entrapment, and jeopardy. Additional sections of case notes cover possession, delivery, specific drugs, marijuana, possession of marijuana, dangerous drugs, and felony driving while intoxicated. Information is also given on the coding used in the case citations.
