Creating a strategic plan can be viewed as a formidable and daunting task, or as a prime opportunity to create a plan for the future that contributes to the well-being of Indigenous/Tribal Nations and communities. With this in mind, and with respect to the value of generosity and sharing that is common among Indigenous peoples, the OJJDP Tribal Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center will host a series of Talking Circles on strategic planning on the third Thursday of each month beginning in April through July 2017.

The Talking Circles will be facilitated to guide discussion related to sharing strategies, tools, and resources relevant to strategic planning.

Talking Circle topics will include:
1. Sustainability plan development.
2. Logic model development.
3. Data collection plan development.
4. Communication plan development.

Learning Objectives:
- Show the relationship among components of program.
- Share visual graphic of intent, strategies, and hoped-for results of the program.
- Explore one of the major elements of an evaluation design, intended to evolve and be flexible.
