Abstract: Of the 197 entries, 141 are from the United States and 56 are from other countries. The SALIS directory also includes RADAR (Regional Alcohol and Drug Abuse Resource) center, both State and specialty. These centers collect and distribute materials of the Office for Substance Abuse Prevention's National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information. The name, address, FAX number, and telephone number are given for each entry, along with specific data about the collection or information service. Organization name, contact person, and subject indexes are provided for cross-reference. Following the section on libraries, clearinghouses, and information and resource centers is another list of nearly 500 associations, foundations, and other organizations concerned with some aspect of the substance abuse field. These include research and funding groups, treatment and prevention constituencies, and professional and trade associations.
