Annotation: This report summarizes the 14 written audit reports and the 10 oral reports prepared regarding the expenditures, operating efficiency, and effectiveness of New York State departments and agencies during 1990.
Abstract: The reports focused on Medicaid fraud and abuse, correctional personnel screening and training, the program providing independent living centers for persons with disabilities, and long-term care programs. They also examined the processing of applications for food stamps, the Economic Development Zone Program, and the use of banks for processing tax returns.
